Cousin S.

A. loves cousin S.  And me thinks cousin S. loves A, too.  The two cousins showed each other some cousin-ly love the last couple of days:  Sunday, when we visited S. and A. only wanted to be held by her; and Tuesday, when S. spent the day with us and A. loved watching S. play at the park. 

An only child and an only grandchild for many years, I never really had a first cousin to grow or play with when I was little (but that was made up for with some significant friendships that have lasted 20+ years).  And even though there's a 7-year difference between S. and A., I hope for them a closeness and friendship that lasts, and lasts, and lasts.
