An Exciting Mile.
Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:33AM A few afternoons ago, after A.'s second nap, we decided to explore our neighborhood. We're staying in Midtown/Garment District, which is pretty much chock-full of businesses. But there is a lot to see and do in our very own home-away-from-home's backyard. In just over an hour or so, we discovered Radio City Music Hall, "30 Rock" and Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick's Cathedral, shopping on 5th Avenue, the beautiful Public Library, and Bryant Park (Fashion Week and Project Runway anyone?!).
A. was downright gleeful during this walk (I wore her in the Ergo Carrier and suspect she felt well-among the bustling crowds on the city streets). She shrieked and cheered out loud as we trotted up 5th Avenue (and, thankfully, not while we were in the hushed cathedral), garnering a lot of attention from even the grouchiest of city folk.
Did I mention that Times Square is also in our neck of the woods? We've been there most nights and, maybe you can tell, but A. is pretty much "over it." Not me, though . . .
Miss A.,
