For Uncle R.
Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 05:20PM My brother-in-law R. is on a massive work-related adventure (though, I'm not sure he'd necessarily call it an adventure; he'd probably remind me that he is indeed working). Last week, he left our neck of the woods for Belgium. Today, he travels to Lyon, France. From there, he's off to Bangladesh with a layover in Bangkok. Then, his final destination is Nepal (think Mt. Everest. But, sorry. He's not visiting Mt. Everest). Pretty awesome, right? Not long before he left, he gave Miss A. and I some very cool clothing from his graduate school (where, in addition to working full-time, he's currently studying International Development).
A. loves, loves her new hoodie. And she insists that the hood remain on her head, which is no easy feat since it's toddler-safe and missing tightening strings. So, we walk around and every minute or so, A. urgently pats her head and exclaims, "hat! hat!" It's nice she's so into hats again, especially with the cooler temps around the corner. It also wouldn't hurt if A. was wooed into attending American University when she reaches college age . . . that way, she would never have to leave home ;)
