"Spooky!"

And now . . . for the unveiling of A.'s 2010 costume:  A. the Ballerina!  It was simple, really.  Tights, a tu-tu and leotard from Old Navy (marked seriously down; maybe each piece was $2, if that?); some real ballet slippers (so precious!); and a nifty headband from a shop on Etsy.

A. was seriously loving her outfit.  Every time we made an adjustment or placed the flower on her head, she demanded, "mirror, mirror!"

And M. even took her to a few neighborhood homes.  She toted around a little homemade bag, which we decorated with last year's Halloween card from S. and A. and some stickers from Grandma and Grandpa T. . . She became very adept at shrieking "TREAT!" And she was quite enamored with the five treats she collected (thank you to the neighbor who handed out bracelets and fruit leather - genius!).

A. loved seeing the trick-or-treaters and as soon as a group would leave, she'd exclaim, "MORE KIDS!" At one point, she experienced the true essence of today's date when a scary werewolf came to our door. A. hugged mama and, for the next hour or so, repeated "spooky!"  Spooky, indeed.  We hope everyone had a great spooky Halloween.  We already can't wait for next year.

She has reason to want to look in the mirror so often, she is darn cute!
