Dinner Score.
Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 08:31AM Sometimes, you just don't know what you're going to get when you mix an unpredictable toddler with a dinner out. Generally, A. does well. But this particular "dinner out" was towards the end of an 8+ hour drive from Michigan to Virginia. Heaven only knew what we were in for.
To our (in-a-desperate-need-for-a-nice-dinner) delight, A. did well. That's because we went to the infamous, road-trippin'-must stop Cracker Barrel. And there, A. downed some seriously delicious carrots and beans (veggies-for-dinner score!) and kept herself happy with the peg-board game (boredom-avoided score!). Then, just when A. tends to get a bit antsy - at the end of a meal - we had a store full of crazy knickknacks with which to occupy her (happy-from-beginning-to-end score!). Must return to Cracker Barrel with child (or two) for not-at-home home cookin' and happy-child environment.
