3 Steps Forward.
Sunday, November 7, 2010 at 01:00PM A dear relative described the *training* process as 3 steps forward, 2 steps back. With this great description in mind, we're taking everything in a more lighthearted, less concerned stride (I'm prone to worry, if you didn't know). But, of course, we can't help but get caught up on our steps forward, which we've made in the last two days. Hooray! (How encouraging!)
(Clarification: The towels in the first picture are for A.'s ironing, nothing more, I assure you, though we've certainly - and expectedly - had some of those moments!) Between yesterday and today, with the exception of bedtime, A. has followed her new instincts and we're 4 for 4, so-to-speak. We're immensely proud of Miss A.'s hard work. I've had a few moments of, "Wow. We're really doing this! Let's not give up! Let's not give up!" (Hence this blog entry: It's here for me to come back to when we're having a more challenging time of sorts.) She's just as dedicated as we are right now to learning this new, er, skill. And life as we know it continues, but it's just a little more grown-up, if you know what I mean . . .

Corie..the bottom picture with A looks like it could be an ad for Restoration Hardware. I love your furniture and light!
thank you, emily! things are slowly coming together (i hate committing - i like so many styles and things!). that light was tricky - it's not quite a floor lamp but too big for a table (which is where i intended to put it). you've laid to rest my concern about with your compliments :) and the chair - so funny. mike's hard-earned man chair, of course. it leans so far back that i can't get out of it!
