Monkey See, Monkey Do.

Cousin E. commented on a finger-painting blog entry that I really should consider framing A.'s artwork. Thank you cousin E., for alas I have!  We're slowly decorating our new home (and I mean slowly and with almost self-induced irritating deliberation.  Hitting the lottery would so make this process move along faster) and I'm re-purposing some old frames that I have.  They kinda make A.'s art look gallery-like, yes?

And today I learned an important lesson:  no matter what I'm doing, A. will try to do it, too - she is completely non-discriminating.  And that includes marking on the wall with a pencil and pounding against the wall with an object (in my case it was a hammer; in A.'s case, it was a toy).  Fortunately, A. started to use the wrong end of the pencil on our stark-white walls and I intercepted the hammering just in time.  But see that little head poking up in the bottom of the picture?  Yeah, she's trying to figure out how to resume her handy work without me objecting.  Some day, A., you will make a super picture-hanging helper.  Let's give it a little time before we start using hammers and writing utensils on walls, k?

Emily - it's funny. I bragged to Mike, "I didn't even use a measuring tape - I eyeballed that!" And he asked me how many holes were in the wall . . . Um, a lot, ha-ha. I've given up on the measuring tape because I still make mistakes. So there's a spattering of many holes underneath those frames. Oh, well : They might come in handy later! Thank you for encouraging the gallery!
