"Bong, Plop!"
Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:00PM Yesterday was library day. And can you believe that out of the four books I listed in the post below I found none?! Maybe they're so great each and every one of them was checked out. Must. Check. Library. Catalogue. But my mom and I did manage to find a good 21 books for Miss A.'s reading pleasure. A.'s favorites so far:

We are so, so into color identification right now, which makes Lemons Are Not Red a big hit (everything is a color game, which is great fun [and an easy activity!]. A. is particularly fond of black, green, purple, and white). But Come Along, Daisy! tops A.'s list. She's wants to read it over and over and she's marching around the house exclaiming, "bong, plop!" And Everywhere Babies is a close second, which she's reading in the picture below. I love Everywhere Babies so much that I ordered it for the children of two expectant-mom friends as a gift from A. Last night, she asked to sleep with Everywhere Babies. Now, that's love for a book.
Unfortunately, A. didn't make this library trip. She was sound asleep, recovering from her morning haircut and trip the the Christmas-jammed pack mall (not to mention a playdate with baby O. and mama K. while there). And just before she crashed, she hammed it up for me in this pictures:
Next week, we'll trek back to the library and just have some reading time in one of their big papazan chairs. That'll make up for A.'s missed excursion and give us some quiet down-and-recovery time after this crazy-busy holiday season.
