Happy Birthday, Mr. O.!

Happy Birthday, dear friend Mr. O.!  Our little guy friend O. and his mama visited today for some lunch, fun, conversation, and - mainly - to have a little side celebration for O.'s recent 1st birthday (a few weeks back, his parents threw him a party out-of-state where most of his family lives).  A. was excited to give O. her very own signed and dated artwork, along with a few gifts, and some yummy, miniature tartlets (we learned that he wasn't so into frosted cake and wondered if a fruit-covered, candle-topped tart might do the trick; score!). (Below, O. is letting us all know that he's the big O-N-E!)

And when the at-the-table festivities wrapped up, the kiddos then made their way through the entire house, playing, playing, playing, and playing. 

And, yes, it occurred to me that, "wew!  this is what it will be like to have two little ones!"  But you know what?  A. was thoroughly entertained and loving every minute with her little guest (and I, of course, was thrilled to have mama K.'s company!!!).  I can only hope and look forward to A. enjoying her own little brother or sister just as much.  Thank you, K. & O. for a wonderful morning and afternoon.  We'll certainly see you soon again!
