32 Weeks (And Not Counting. I swear).

Where on earth has time gone?!  I really can't find it.  It's just plain gone.  And in that missing span of time, I've somehow reached 32 weeks with baby D-2 and, with today's midwife visit, am newly equipped with a "how to know you're in labor" pamphlet (if it's anything like my labor with A., I'll overlook its subtlety for a few hours [i.e., I thought I simply had to use the *facilities* every ten minutes, which isn't exactly unusual for a week-overdue pregnant lady], then it will come on fast and strong and spook the daylights out of me!).

All continues to check out well.  The midwife suspects that this baby will come in a little smaller than A., who weighed 8lbs 5oz and 21" (but the baby's size is really anyone's random guess, right?).  And we're all wondering if A. will have a sister or brother (I'm voting girl right now).  Meanwhile, no major discomforts (except for an inguinal hernia, which is more of an annoyance and comes and goes and reminds me when I've climbed too many stairs or lifted A. one too many times in a given day. Nothing to get hung-up on).  Weight gain - on my part - seems a bit under control (I was gaining like whoa! in recent weeks) and less shocking (but it's purposeful and I certainly won't do anything to reduce my food intake; I think it's been reasonable.  Who doesn't like dessert with every meal.  Have I mentioned I eat, like, seven meals a day?).  God willing, February or March, here we come!
