Summer Break!

Hello, Summer!  As seems to be the case these days, we're behind on our website.  We've been keeping busy, though.  Summer so far has included trips to Michigan and Massachusetts.  And we're busy exploring our new neighborhood in Old Town Alexandria, VA (to learn more about our sweet town, read here and here).  The picture below is of the "Spite House," just a few blocks away from our new home. It's the tiniest place you've ever seen (only 7' wide)! Read about it in this here New York Times article. 

And Miss A. is growing like a weed in this hot, hot summer heat! She just had a well-child visit this afternoon and she's measuring well and healthy!  She's a chatterbox (impressing us with words like "strawberry" and stumping us with her new-found use of the word "no"), and she signs, too!  Nothing's much cuter than A. signing and saying "thank you" to people.
