Dressin' Up (And Such).
Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 03:56PM 'Tis the time in A.'s life that she is beginning to play dress-up (including approving of pigtails and barrettes!), pretending to clean, pretending to shop, and even pretending to take mama for walks (yes, she saddles up w/ shopping bags and walks me around the house).
A. loves her sunglasses. She loves wearing shoes (I gotta get this girl into a tap class; she loves the "clank-clank" of shoes!). She loves putting together her own wardrobe concoctions. And many times she insists on wearing a bib. Just because. Oh, and on even better days, she picks up the Swiffer and gets to work on our dusty wood floors. Am I complaining? Nope.
She's happy. I'm happy. The floor is happy. Why stop there? Time to search for an A.-sized broom, dustpan, mop, bucket . . . By the way, not only does this gal like to clean things, she's all about brushing her teeth (she honestly melts down if you stop) and she does not like any bit of anything on her hands. Love, love, love it!
