It's A Zoo Out There.

Not counting A.'s first trip to the National Zoo when she was a mere 8-weeks old and nestled in a sling (below!), we took our dear, dear gal to the zoo for the first (notable?) time during a recent visit from Grandma and Grandpa T.

Interestingly, A. was most entertained by a tiny hut containing a colorful mural and overlooking the tiger exhibit, some bronzed dinosaur teeth, and a wooden ramp that clankety-clanked with every one of A.'s steps.

As for the animals:  none got her goat like the apes.  She waved and pointed at our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.  And she was especially mesmerized by the baby ape (sweet!).

There's more.  I'll be back shortly with pictures from our trip to the Children's Farm at the National Zoo. Stay tuned!
