CAKE!

I won't deny it:  I'm another year older.  And, honestly, this has been one of the best birthdays yet (and no, it's not because A. took a nearly-four hour nap ;).  Nothing beats having Miss A. in our lives, an awesome and perfect husband (no pressure!), great parents visiting and helping and supporting, and some of the best friends and family on the face of this earth.  Add to that, CAKE!

Holding off on having a formal dinner celebration until Sunday, we birthday partied with three pizzas, cold drinks, and the most essential birthday element ever:  chocolate cake with chocolate frosting.  And, as you can see, A. didn't waste any time getting her share.  Yes, some of it's on her hands, nose, and cheeks, but I promise you, most of it landed in her mouth. What she couldn't capture with her fork, she got with her hands.  She wouldn't have it any other way!
