Miss Manners.
Monday, September 20, 2010 at 07:25PM Last night, we enjoyed dinner at The Majestic, a delicious restaurant within walking distance of our home. Come visit and we'll take you there for the "Nana's Sunday Dinner." This month: Caesar Salad, Lasagna, Focaccia, some vegetable (of course), and . . . drum roll, please . . . Tiramisu!
A. totally rose to the special occasion and, humorously, on her own placed her cloth napkin across her lap. I saw her do it out of the corner of my eye, but it took M. pointing it out to realize it was our young toddler - not an adult - who performed such a dignified dinner-table act. Sweet-mannered dear!
Even cuter and more endearing: today, I went shopping with my mom and bought A. a few pieces of clothing. When I got home, I gave A. her gifts. And - on her own and unprompted while proudly holding a new shirt - she signed and said, "Thank you, mama!" Happy sigh! Will she always be this sweet?
