A Walk On The WWB.

We ditched the indoors today in favor of a fantastic, must-repeat walk this beautiful, sunny Labor Day afternoon. Dare I say we even - deliberately - skipped A.'s nap time for this walk, fully expecting that she'd fall asleep while the mama and papa caught some exercise?  Well, we did.  And we drove down Washington St., towards Mt. Vernon, parked the car and - wait for it - walked across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, all the way to Maryland.

Not to sound corny, but the walk and everything about it was seriously splendid.  The sky was blue, the breeze was just right.  And we could see our beautiful capitol, Washington monument and all, on our left as we trekked from Virginia over the Potomac River to Maryland, just shy of the National Harbor.  And, as expected, Miss A. did indeed fall asleep.  Perfect.
