Out and About.

I told you:  we're getting out of the house this week.  And indeed we have.  And all this visiting resulted in three straight days of car naps for A. (which I, like, never let happen; I treasure nap-time far too much to miss them).  But our need to socialize and have human contact outweighed any need for sleep (ask me if I agree with this statement by the week's end when A. is showing every miserable sign of nap-time sleep deprivation).

Tuesday, we visited dear friend R. at her new home (she used to live in Alexandria, but no longer.  Sigh.).  She treated us to the most-delicious homemade pizza and A. especially loved exploring the new, big house and playing with dear friend J.'s toys (unfortunately, he was away at school that day.  We missed you, J.!)

Wednesday, it was off to J. and A.'s house, where (after playing in the smattering of snow from the night before) we enjoyed more friends, playtime and a delicious lunch (think soft, warm vegetarian pita, filled with the best veggies and cheese ever.  I could've eaten 10 of these, I swear).   

Today, thankfully, is a stay-at-home day.  I don't even think we'll venture outside for fresh air.  We're just going to rest, nap, and take it easy (and maybe plan a few more dates for next week!  This was fun!).
