Follow The Leader.

A. hit the girlfriend jackpot on Monday.  We visited K. and her three daughters (ages 11, 7, and 6).  The girls were smitten with A. and happily obliged her every request.  It was a bit humorous to see them trailing this tiny 21-month old around (and I think they were a bit humored by her, too).  At different points, they suggested that A. was speaking French and even Japanese based on her pronunciation of certain words (the girls are presently in a French-immersion school).  Funny!

And A. played her celebrity-status up big time.  It was a little embarrassing, really.  But the girls didn't seem to mind and adored Miss A. and treated her so, so nicely (later that evening, I wrote to their mom and told her that I hope A. grows to be just like them; they're truly great kids).  Playdate no. 2 is scheduled for two weeks from now (and this is a "safe" playdate, i.e., K. lives very, very close to M.'s office and the hospital were baby D-2 will be born).
