Big Bed & Books.

We have a new favorite bedtime (including naptime) routine: reading heaps of books on our guest bed.  All we have to say to A. to motivate her to climb upstairs for bedtime is "are you ready to read books in the big bed?"  And she's off!

I'm hoping she shares her enthusiasm for this bed with her own "big" bed that she'll soon be moving into. This weekend, we'll purchase her new (low, twin) bed, moving the crib to the baby's room.   Whether I'll have all my ducks in a row (e.g., a bed sheet, blanket, anchoring her bookshelf to the wall, etc.) is another question. Until then, we'll keep promoting the non-crib sleeping arrangement with our big-bed and books routine.
