Startingtoloveday (or "Sunday").
Sunday, October 2, 2011 at 09:07PM Not wanting Monday to arrive, I used to dread Sundays. But what a waste of a perfectly good, wide-open weekend day! So, I'm learning to love them without regard to Monday. It seems that our weekends are evolving to include a busy Saturday outside the house - even at the expense of naps - and lazy, cozy Sundays around and at the house. Today was no exception.
E. slept until 6AM without a feeding and went back to sleep until 8AM (Yay! Without looking at the clock when I heard her, I knew it was later than normal because I felt so rested!). A. slept even later (chalk it up to yesterday's adventure). Papa treated us to a fun McDonald's breakfast (okay, the truth is that we ran out of coffee and we opted for the nearby McD's over the even-closer Starbucks). A. spent some time reading to E. Then M. and A. enjoyed an hour-and-a-half outdoors while E. napped.
Later, A. and I enjoyed a mama-A. adventure to the Michael's for watercolors (A. wanted to paint neighbor Ms. T. something for her birthday), the pet store - just because - and the grocery store. E. would not be left out. After I made this butternut squash soup for dinner, the little button and I took a brisk, cool walk while A. got her paint on and Papa watched his football. The day was so nice, indeed, that the *threat* of Monday (i.e. Papa-returns-to-work day) never even phased me.
