Happy Valentine's Day, '11!
Monday, February 14, 2011 at 02:22PM Welcome to the day of hearts, love, and chocolate! Or, Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours! We hope you're having a wonderfully sweet and romantic day. We certainly are. Our first Valentine was delivered by none other than Mother Nature, who has graced us with a 70-degree, sunny day. Mercy! Is it lovely outside! A. and I got our walk on (yep, I actually went outside), picked up sticks and pine cones, and headed home where A. played, all Valentine and pink-cheeked, on the back patio with Grandma. All that fresh air led us to A.'s room for a wonderful nap time and to where a lovely little gift from cousin S. and A. waited for A., namely this gorgeous, gorgeous card and a sweet, dear story about a bunny:

S. is always thinking about A. and her love for bunnies. She was spot-on when she thoughtfully designed and impressively created a lovely bunny Valentine card for our girl. And a bunny book, too! Specifically, the Brambledown Tales' The Rabbits' New Home. Hooray! And this book joins another bunnny book S. so thoughtfully sent to A. for the holidays, The Velveteen Rabbit, both of which we will most certainly love for years to come. Thank you, thank you, S. and A.! Thank you, also, everyone for making A. your Valentine this year (Great-Grandma and Grandpa, A. will be choosing a new book to buy this week thanks to you!). She's a sweet one and a natural heart-day choice, if I do say so myself. My very own sweet treat (and I couldn't think of asking for anything more . . . um, except for maybe the baby to arrive??? Isn't today a nice day for having a baby? That's what I think, especially since our 22-month old *baby* is pretty darn great. Why not add another Valentine like her?!)!
