FREEDOM!
Monday, February 7, 2011 at 08:45AM Outside! At last! As I've previously mentioned, I've hit a wall and A.'s outdoor time with me is essentially non-existent. But Papa has saved the day. He was intent on making sure our girl enjoyed some fresh air this weekend and on a balmy 50-something degree day, A. and M. made their way to Oronoco Bay Park (Oronoco is the street next to our community and leads to the Potomac River), where A. could enjoy some outdoor freedom (and, yes, this mama enjoyed some household freedom, too, though that mainly consisted of emptying the dishwasher, catching up on e-mails, etc. Nothing to really blog about!)
At this particular park, A. can watch the planes fly low as they land at National Airport (in the distance, you can also spot the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument). But on this particular day, she was especially fond of the sand at the beach volleyball court. M. reported that they could've spent hours outdoors and that A. was reluctant to return home (can you blame her?) . . . until the word "lunch" was uttered.
