"Cuddle Mama?" (Or, "Just the Two of Us")

And it is with this question that our Wednesday - our last day as "just the two of us" - began.  No, no, no. The baby isn't arriving tomorrow.  Rather, my parents are! My mom and dad are driving here.  My dad will stay until Monday, leaving my mom to stand at the ready, able to watch over A. while we're all waiting for the baby to arrive (dad will return after the big day), which means A. and I will no longer be unaccompanied during the week.  It's super great that my mom will be here, but I'm quite sentimental over the fact that beginning tomorrow it will be me-A.-grandma or me-A.-baby, forever after.  Wow.  So, I set out to document our historic day.

We cuddled.  We broke the no-eating-on-the-couch rule in favor of a bowl of fresh fruit and some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  We played.  We acted silly.  We painted (we're especially proud of our dual-handprint piece which I will definitely frame and hang on A.'s wall to remember our exclusive Mama-A. times). We played with our hand-washing bucket and cloth.  We colored.  We ate. We read many, many stories.  And that was just the first half of our day.  The rest - now that is naptime - is to be continued . . .
