Better Luck Next Time?
Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00PM That wasn't nearly as fun as I'd hoped. What's that, you ask? Today was the day we connected a rumble seat to A.'s stroller, making it a good 'ol double stroller in which we hope (and plan) to transport the two littles. Here's A., getting ready for the adventure.

Then . . . we put her in the seat. And it was meltdown city. Meltdown City. She did not like the seat one bit (okay, to be fair to A., it's awfully close to the carseat; the arrangement will work much better when we can use the larger seat [for A.] and the rumble seat [for E., when she's bigger]) . We trekked to King Street and back, totting a waling, crying child. It was miserable. What I thought would bring sheer joy and fun brought tears and a two-year old struggle. Better luck next time?
Update: That "next time" was Tuesday, March 15th. M., A., E., and I were out yesterday afternoon. We kept the seat attached to the stroller and didn't pressure A. to sit. And then . . . she wanted to sit in the stroller. And she liked it! Progress! Fingers crossed!
