Atti-TWO-de!

Mmmmhmmmm.  This is what TWO looks like.  And I hate to buy into the "terrible two" jargon, but you know . . . I'm definitely experiencing something different with A.  She's, she's so testy.  And button-pushy. And her volume.  What is that about?!

And my mind is teaming with strategy and approach in an effort to answer this pressing question:  how to overcome her button-pushing and testing (e.g., today in music class she stood on a drum; I reminded her that feet belong on the ground and told her to place her feet on the ground.  She did.  Then she gave me a sly look after a moment and, yep, stood on the drum again.  Grrr.)?!?!

Negative press aside, A. is also fun and astounding and great right now.  A. is an awesome helper (see above!).  Her vocabulary is expanding and she says the funniest things in surprising sentence form (e.g., "I just can't find it!" and Uncle R. is tall like a "giraffe!")  And ever since E. has come on the scene, M. and I have made some tired flubs at poor A.'s expense.  For example, handing her the many, many days old drink box, which had been left in the car, over the fresh juice box, also in the car (I suspect the juice was so old and fermented that it was pure alcohol).  OR the evening that I put shoes on A.'s feet before a walk outdoors when A. complained that the shoe was "stuck"; I dismissed her complaints, sternly telling her she must wear shoes outdoors, only later to discover she spent the evening walking in a shoe with a barrette stuck inside of it, under her foot.  Oh, dear.

Oops.  We'll look back at this and laugh.  Right?  Right?
