"Daddy Sheep is Really, REALLY Big."

What a FUN day!  OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE!  On Sunday, we decided to drive a few miles down the road to Mt. Vernon.  M. read that there are farm animals there and we knew A. would love this excursion.  And we were right.  A. loved it.  What's more, there were baby lambs there!  And while A. was really into the babies, she was really into what she believed was a "really, REALLY big" daddy sheep.

I love these family photos at the end here.  We try so hard to photograph ourselves from the front, together, focused, smiling.  But that's no small feat and, really, it is why you see so many photos of A. and company from the back.  Anyway, I'm thrilled we have these shots, even if Miss E. is wrapped and bundled beneath a pile of blankets.  And I'm more thrilled that the trip to George Washington's home was such an outdoor, walking, animal-filled hit with A.
