Business As Usual. With An Exciting Twist: Baby E.

Hold on tight.  Grandma and Grandpa left for home.  Yes, it was a short post-E. visit, but my dear mom had already been here for three weeks.  And a March 8th obligation beckoned them home.  Plus, really, E. - at this stage - is really easy.  And we have experience this time around, right?  Regardless, they'll be very much missed and I'm sure no more than a month will pass before they return!  Meanwhile . . .

A. is doing her usual thing (e.g., playing with her horses), stopping now and again to kiss her baby, hold her baby's hand, and to dance with papa for her baby.  A. is seriously in love with E.  She loves on her day and night (night-time pictures similar to this morning's pictures . . . yes, we're pretty much living in pajamas!).

Speaking of night, last night was a rough one.  It had been smooth sailing until this evening, when E. decided sleep was not for her.  M. didn't waiver, though, and decided to seize the day, do laundry, and spend the very early morning hours with E., letting mama sleep.  Thank you, M.!  Surely, tonight will be better! [Update:  the next three nights were outstanding.  Friday and Saturday nights even netted us a good 8 hours each, with even A. sleeping in and E. requiring only a few efficient feedings.  Woo-woo.  Let's keep this up!]

One more quick update.  Yesterday was E.'s first pediatrician's appointment.  Our gal is actually measuring 21.5" long (not 21") and she's barely lost her birth weight - only 8oz!  Honestly, it's no surprise.  E. is a big-time eater (trust me, I know).  And all is well in E.'s world.  Smile.
