Meadowlark (April '11).

I'm slowly crawling my way back from an extended cold - a cold that I thought had ended last Friday.  I was wrong.  The cold kicked into high gear late Sunday afternoon, treating me to the usual cold symptoms and pink eye in both of my eyes.  But before reality set in (I simply though I was suffering from the tail-end of a cold or, even better, allergies), the D. family returned to an old favorite haunt:  Meadowlark.

We used to live quite close to this park and even had a season pass.  I miss it, I do.  Every month has a new treat for visitors to see.  Next month, I'd like to return to see the peonies.  In June and July, the park is covered with lillies.  A., a year older now, loved exploring Meadowlark. She especially loved seeing the ducks, geese, turtles, koi, and running down a very, very large hill.  Convincing her to leave was not easy.  And E., well, E. was in usual E. form and slept.  Next year, she'll enjoy her surroundings in a different way!
