Easter 2011.
Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:16AM We hope everyone had a lovely Easter Sunday. Ours was exceptional, I have to say! The weather was warm, sunny, and perfect. We started our morning with an Easter Egg hunt and with A. wanting to look for more eggs than the Easter Bunny actually left behind (apparently, the Easter Bunny should have hidden an entire dozen of eggs, not just 6). And A. kept asking, "see anymore around here?!"
E., for her part, chilled with some toys left for her by the E.B.. Then, she took up residence in her bouncy seat, chillin' with some bunny ears.
Then, cousin S., who was in town for a few days and leaving D.C. that afternoon, came over and spent the morning with us. We enjoyed seeing and catching up with S., along with some of M.'s famously yummy buttermilk waffles. A. was especially happy to have the attention and affection of dear S.
We topped the day off with a trip to Silver Springs, Md., where we enjoyed an Easter dinner with Uncle R. And did our best to capture some photographs of A. in her Easter Sunday best. That wasn't very easy.
Now, I'm severely behind on our blog (nevermind that I really need to update our caption to include a toddler and baby). A. and E. are suffering from colds. A. is faring well, but E. just seems so pitiful! Such a little child to have watery eyes, cough, and congestion (our pediatrician warned that E., a younger sibling, would suffer from her first cold sooner than A. did - yes, by months!)! And my annoying cough has returned. Sigh. We will come through this stronger, I'm sure of it. Cold season will - it must - end!
