Our Town (April 25, 2010).
Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 03:46PM Just before A. and E.'s cold came to town, we enjoyed a seriously splendid morning out and about in Old Town. A. happily rode in the stroller with her sister. We were armed with snacks, tissues, and all-things-needed for a toddler and baby. We spent some time at our beloved Queen Street park and then we became super ambitious and walked the lovely streets of our neighborhood towards City Hall and its fountain.
While there, we met dear friend K. who practices law nearby. She came bearing a wonderful, sweetened iced tea for this mama (A. got her hands on it and dramatically exclaimed, "I like this!" Oh, dear. Hopefully there's a nap in our future after that mix of sugar and caffeine. Yikes!). And she kept us company while A. all but soaked herself in the child-friendly fountain.
And then it was time for K. to return to work and for the 3 D. gals to head home for lunch and naps.
But after passing the wisteria and flag-lined streets, it was hard to head for the indoors. A. was happily munching on goldfish crackers, E. was already sleeping, and I was content to keeping walking block after block. I was so excited to repeat this fun on Tuesday, but - as we all know now - our health and Mother Nature had other plans for us. Better luck this week!

I can't wait until everyone is well and we can meet at the fountain again. I'll bring the Coffee and sweet tea, you bring the fun!
