Grandma & Grandpa D.!

We hope everyone enjoyed a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend filled with thanks for the men and women who serve and have served our dear, amazing country.  We kicked off our weekend with a visit from M.'s parents, Grandma and Grandpa D. - he himself retired from the Army after 20-years of service (thank you, Dad and Grandpa D.!).  They arrived at our home Wednesday night and stayed with us until Friday.

The trip went by too quickly.  Wednesday night, we enjoyed a savory barbecue prepared by M. and a good evening of catching-up.  Thursday brought us sweltering heat, tempering any outdoor plans that once seemed ideal. Instead, we enjoyed a trip to a local Korean market followed by a delcious lunch of Jap Chae, et. al., which we gathered during our grocery run.  And - later - a delicious dinner at our favorite Korean BBQ, Ye-Chon.    Also, Grandma & Grandpa D. braved the late afternoon sun and took a good, long walk with A.  Woo-wee!  More than I can normally do in such oppressive heat! Thursday night was spent with more fun conversation and playing with the kiddos.

Then, Friday arrived. E. demonstrated her neck strength while A. showed off her big-sisterly guidance for Grandma and Grandpa. 

Breakfast was served.  We relaxed and enjoyed our company some more and then had to say our goodbyes.  Thank you for visiting, Grandparents!  We hope to see you soon!
