She Sells Sea Shells.
Friday, June 10, 2011 at 04:50PM There are so many posts that I want to add, but - like I recently mentioned - time just isn't on my side right now (presently, it's 4:48PM and both kiddos are sleeping and I know I should wake-up A., but I just want to share her sweet beauty with you first!). But there's just enough time to share with you A.'s current interest in sea shells. Along with so many other things, she loves them.
Lately, she frequently asks to play with sea shells. I'm so excited to go shelling with her one day. Maybe not this year (our North Carolina beach isn't known for the beautiful shells that you can find on the Gulf Coast in Florida). But I've already informed M. that next year will be a Florida year; ideally, a replicated trip of the one I took year after year after year with my grandparents and parents. Those memories bring me absolute joy, especially all the hours spent shelling with my grandmother (especially the one late-vacation walk that turned up piles of living and sought-after sand dollars, which my grandparents and I gathered with excitement). A., it's your turn. Time to make some beach-shelling memories and where better to start than with some of mama's shells from years past.
