"Emma Not-A-Dilemma?"
Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 03:14PM Friday night, heading to bed, I resolved to M. that we would only go to E. when I was sure it was time to feed her. I was tired of two weeks of up and down, down and up, and decided that the issue was simply that E. was waking up and did not know how to get herself back to sleep. No more interfering with her need to self-soothe. Well, such was not the case that Friday night. Or Saturday. Or Sunday. Or Monday. Or Tuesday. Nope. E. one-up'ed us. She has consistently slept through the night since my resolution. (Look at that happy face!). KNOCK ON WOOD.
We're back to the 3 - 4ish AM wake-up. Sleeping from 6:30PM or so until after 7AM. KNOCK ON WOOD. KNOCK ON WOOD. I'm not sure what the last two weeks were about, but we turned a corner and headed back on our way to dreamland. I feel like a new person. M. might actually be a new person. And some of that lost-adorableness has returned to E. (seriously, cuteness starts disappearing after two weeks of every-other-hour wake-ups). A. remains unaffected. She just, well, sleeps. Undisturbed. Happily (and with this warm weather and morning activity, we're getting nearly 3-hour naps. Yes, I'm bragging. I know it won't last forever. But for now, it rocks my world. Again: KNOCK ON WOOD.)
Oh, and I think E. really is rolling over. She did it twice today (did you read that Papa?): both times on A.'s floor while I was reading to A. So, I guess I'm convinced E. can roll over. I think . . .
