"Jack Be Nimble!"

A. totally loves her cousins J. & L.  And it's moments like the ones when she was playing with them that I wished we lived closer.  L., for her part and as a teenager, is just so great with our girls!  Very calm and gentle and caring.  She explains everything to A. so well. A. loved L.'s coloring and drawing for her.  And J., for his part, also explains everything so well to A. (both kids have a future in teaching and parenting, yes).

During our visit, J. was also sure to put on a great show for A.  She found him entertaining, often exclaiming, "Oh, J.!" And as J. zipped to and fro, I could overhear A. chant to herself, "Jack be nimble, Jack be quick!"  Yep, A. has J.'s number!  He's quick and nimble!  And ever so active, fun, and polite for a young boy.

E.'s too little to appreciate her fun relatives, but surely she, too, will enjoy J. & L. in just another year (well, I'm sure she enjoyed and appreciated them this time around; she's just too little to verbalize her opinion, right?!).  Both A. & E. are enjoying the gifts that the S. family sent them home with, too - especially the Day at the Zoo CD and The Very Busy Spider book (much loved!).  And this mama is loving the insulated flowered and embroided bag - it's keeping our snacks and water cool during this scorching summer heat.  Love to you all, S. family!  Thank you for everything!
