Exploring.
Monday, September 26, 2011 at 02:24PM I mentioned that E. is moving. It should come as no surprise that her deep desire to explore, touch, and taste the world around her motivates her to, er, move in a downward-dog yoga position . . . (psssst, E.! It's way more work that way. Just bend your elbows and knees and you've got it!).
The truth is, she - according to A. - is "creeping and crawling" by grabbing the floor and pulling herself along. Sometimes, she manages to get up on her knees. And she is particularly interested in the wood-floor surface. E. loves clapping her hand against the floor and especially loves seeing her reflection in the shiny wood.
The highchair is a new hangout for E., too. Especially since I pulled out this trusty toy from A.'s baby days. This gadget provided E. with plenty of entertainment while I readied her lunch today.
Still, though, the funniest thing I catch E. doing is staring at herself in a mirror. Whenever she finds a mirror, she touches her nose to it, getting as close as she possibly can to the baby looking back at her.
