We Had Snow! For, like, 2 Minutes.
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 09:04PM We're accustomed to relatively mild winters here in the D.C. area, but this is wacky. I think we've enjoyed mostly mild weather this winter - rarely below 50, it seems. And snow? What is that? Oh, wait. I think we saw some two weekends ago. Yes - for, like, two minutes. If that. Yes, our little bit of snow quickly turned to water . . .
But we'll take it! We enjoyed a brisk walk outside, which we desperately needed after the girls had been couped up indoors, suffering from colds and fevers. Our trip included a stop-off at the nearby Hilton, where we took advantage of warm drinks (for the adults) and thirst-quenching sips (for the little ones) and a tasty apple fritter.
E., meanwhile, was wondering why she wasn't in her crib, enjoying her morning nap. Well, sometimes E., you have to take one for the team (though, we're pretty confident that she enjoyed the outdoors, especially watching sister play in the snow and puddles). Thank you, dear girl! And, thank you, Ol' Man Winter for even the tiniest bit of snow. Send some more our way!
